Event Info

Aurum LARP holds events once a month, starting in 2018. Events from March to October will be weekend-long outdoor events. November-February will be single-day indoor events that take place in the in-game "old world." Aurum LARP also intends to be involved with the local convention scene and hopes to participate in several Double Exposure, Inc events. Please see below for additional information.

Camp Names and Directions:

Camp Oakspring

Address: 228 Weston Road Somerset, NJ 08873
Check-in: Players may not be on camp any earlier than 5:00pm on Friday
Check-out: The camp must be cleaned up and we must be off the property by 11:00am on Sunday
Accessibility/Accomodations/Amenities: For those with limited mobility, Camp Oakspring unfortunately has limited accessibility; entrance to the main building has a few steps and no ramp. There is a 1/2 bathroom downstairs, but the only year-round showers on the entire camp are located upstairs of the main building. NPC building and sleeping areas can be reached without going via stairs. The area is a bit hilly as well.

Quail Hill Scout Reservation

Check-in: Players may not be on camp any earlier than 5:00pm on Friday
Check-out: The camp must be cleaned up and we must be off the property by 11:00am on Sunday
Accessibility/Accomodations/Amenities: for those with limited mobility, Quail Hill offers ramps to their Main Building and access to NPC/sleeping areas have no stairs. Showers are on the main floor of the main building, and there is a separate shower house on camp. There is a downstairs area in the main building that we do not intend to use often as there is no access beyond stairs.

Camp Warren

Check-out: The camp must be cleaned up and we must be off the property by 11:00am on Sunday
Accessibility/Accomodations/Amenities: Camp Warren has an incredible amount of accessibility, including ramps to every building and sleeping area, electricity/outlets/bathrooms and showers in every sleeping area, beds with mattresses and small, close proximity to everything on camp.

Kiddie Keep Well Camp ((Log Cabin))

Address: Edison, NJ please see here for detailed driving instructions
Check-in: Players may not be on camp any earlier than 10:00am on Saturday
Check-out: The Log Cabin must be cleaned and we must be off the property by 10p Saturday
Accessibility/Accomodations/Amenities: For those with limited mobility, the Log Cabin has a ramp/wheelchair access through the back of the building. It is otherwise a single story building with a small balcony that is also only accessible by stairs. The balcony will not be a main play area, those players are allowed to go up there to relax, chat, etc. Bathrooms and kitchen are all on the main floor.

Conventions:

Dreamation 2018

Dreamation 2018 will be held at the Morristown Hyatt by Double Exposure, Inc. from February 22-25, 2018. We hope to run a module that will further along the story of Aurum, Antioch and the Old World, while running a booth throughout the convention to draw more interest and new players. If you are interested in NPCing for us, please contact a staff member and you will receive +1 XP for your character for helping us out. We hope to see you there to support us, the Double Exposure team and the greater geek community!

Steampunk World's Fair 2018

The Steampunk World's Fair will be held at the Radisson and Embassy hotels in Piscataway, NJ May 4-6, 2018. We will be running a module during this time and hope to make our names known in the greater steampunk community! If you are interested in NPCing for us, please contact a staff member and you will receive +1 XP for your character for helping us out.

Dexcon 21

Dexcon 21 will be held at the Morristown Hyatt by Double Exposure, Inc. from July 4-8, 2018. We will be running a module during the convention which will count as our June 2018 event, meaning all participants (PC and NPC) will receive +2 XP, and all NPCs will receive an additional +1 XP! We hope to see you around at the convention, in our module, and during other games throughout the convention!
